Hi, I'm your host, Heather. I'm excited that you are considering a stay at Cedars' Edge. We love it here and think you will too.

I have family with a home at Seabrook and have been coming here for years. My favorite thing about Seabrook is the beach. My dogs absolutely love it, and seeing them happy makes me happy. They can run free, with the air in their ears.

When I saw Seabrook's plans for the Fernwood District, I knew it was time to become a rental owner. What sold me was the natural surroundings. Fernwood has a different feel.

There are a lot of ways to experience Seabrook, depending on the kind of getaway you want. Some folks like to be near the city center, and if that’s you, another property is probably a better fit.

We’re surrounded by trees, outdoor activities and peace and quiet. We’re a quick trail walk to the middle of town, but it feels like we are in our own world out here. It’s glorious.

Having Cedars’ Edge in Fernwood also gave me the opportunity to create a supremely dog-friendly home. If I am bringing Sweetness and Wrigley with me, I want them to be part of the action. So I fenced the back yard and installed a retractable gate on the large front patio. They can roam around as they please. I also stocked up on dog beds and bowls, all pupper approved.

Other priorities were having the comfiest beds (firm mattresses with cushy toppers), AC, high speed wifi, and a fully equipped kitchen. I lived here for a couple of months while getting the house ready, and that gave me the opportunity to really LIVE in it. I figured if I needed something, you probably would too.

Decorating Cedars’ Edge was so much fun. I was going for an airy, natural, slightly vintage vibe, with hints of outdoor adventure and a little quirkiness. I didn’t buy whole rooms of furniture from a catalog. In fact, I refinished some of the furniture myself, and took my time selecting only the things that helped me create the right feeling. Cedars’ Edge is homey without feeling like someone else’s home.

Now that Cedars’ Edge is complete, I love the positive feedback we have been getting from guests. And of course, love getting out there myself from time-to-time (Fall is my favorite).

On a personal note, I am a business owner and I live in West Seattle. I spend my time DIYing all kinds of things, thrifting, reading and watching embarrassing reality TV.

If you have any questions about Cedars’ Edge (or want me to introduce you to the real estate team at Seabrook), feel free to reach out!

Regards,
